Attractive but subtle red fruit, the rather fine tannins and pronounced spice on the palate filling out the medium body very neatly. Lively acidity lifts the finish. Very food-friendly!"

So fresh, so fragrant. A touch of old-fashioned schoolroom in the shadows: chalkboard and well-used pencil sharpener and ink dust and old creaky lift-up desks. Beaujolais-Villages fra Maison Piron fremstilles af vinstokke, der i snit er 50 år gamle. Druerne afstilkes delvist og gæres ved "semi carbonique" metoden, der sikrer vinene struktur og en smækker frugt, der giver mindelser om solbær og jordbær. Der er både struktur, stof og kompleksitet under frugten og et lækkert strejf af mineraler og hvid peber.
