Seriously concentrated and intriguing with an opulent leathery texture, velvety soft tannins and a lengthy tobacco-laden finish. Outstanding!"

94 point - James Suckling: A consistently outstanding red blend featuring malbec, merlot and cabernet sauvignon. The cocoa powder and spice notes from the oak are adequate and certainly just supplementary to the healthy core of fresh, peppery blackberries and dark cherries with a touch of graphite. Medium- to full-bodied with firm, dusty tannins, showing fresh, intense black and blue fruit with violets and dark chocolate lingering in a lengthy finish. A great value. Vegan. Drink or hold.

93 point - Tim Atkin MW: "A wine that over-delivers at its price point - and sells out quickly as a result - this is a stylishly judge assemblage of Malbec and 30% each of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Frescher and brighter than the 2020 release, this has liquorice, plum and blackberry pastille flavours, chalky precision and the freshness, concentration and backbone to age."

93 point - Robert Parker: "There's better integration of the oak and better balance, harmony and elegance in the 2021 Privada Family Blend. It was produced with 40% Malbec and 30% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from vineyards in Luján de Cuyo. It feels very integrated, with each variety adding aromas and flavors and coming through as complex and powerful. This has to be one of the finest vintages for this bottling."

Dette Privada Family Blend er nok den allermest nuancerede og facetterede vin fra Norton og oftest den højest vurderede af den internationale presse. Farven er dybrød og næsen er kompleks med modne mørge frugter og kaffetoner. Helt ung er smagen en usleben krystal, men efter blot et år på flaske folder den sig flot ud med en anelse egetræ, fantastisk struktur og nogle modne tanniner. Vinen kan sagtens lagre 10 år fra høståret. Det er stort det her, men ikke bare stort og Privada Family Blend er med sin kompleksitet blandt ikonerne i Mendoza.
